OBVESTILA
The Supervisory Board of Nova KBM accepted today the resignation of Andrej Plos, the current President of the Management Board, of which the Chairman and other members of the Supervisory Board were informed on Tuesday. The Bank expects no difficulties in the management of liquidity risk and capital adequacy this year.

»Andrej Plos will continue to perform the function of President of the Management Board until the appointment of a new President« said Dušan Jovanovič, Chairman of Nova KBM's Supervisory Board, after the meeting. He also explained the procedure for electing the new Management Board.

»The reason for my resignation is my wish that the formation and appointment of the new Management Board be carried out as soon as possible, irrespective of who will lead the Board. I will continue to act as President until the new Management Board is appointed. The Bank needs a decision-making body, and each day is of vital importance for its business. It was precisely this awareness that has influenced my decision of resignation. Regardless of circumstances in the creation of the Management Board, I will do anything within my power to ensure smooth operations of the Bank in this transition period« commented Mr. Plos on his decision.

Dušan Jovanovič, Chairman of Nova KBM's Supervisory Board, is convinced that changes in the Management Board will have no impact on Bank's operations. »Considering current uncertain economic conditions, the Bank is performing well. The projections for its future performance are favourable too, so we have confidence in its operations going forward«, also pointed out Mr. Jovanovič after the meeting.

Notwithstanding any difficulties in its operations, it must be emphasised that Nova KBM ranks among the best performing banks in Slovenia with respect to capital adequacy. Therefore, no difficulties are expected in the management of the Bank's liquidity risk and capital adequacy this year. The results for this year, however, will presumably not meet the plan because it will not be possible to collect bad loans in the absence of economic recovery. Know-how, professional experience and a more active role in the creation of companies' cash flow will have a crucial role in this process, and the new Management Board will have to focus strongly on these issues.
