Nova KBM d.d. completes acquisition of Abanka d.d.

Today, on February 5th, 2020, the Republic of Slovenia completed the sale of its entire stake in Abanka, d.d. to Nova KBM d.d.
 

On 20 June 2019, Slovenian Sovereign Holding d. d., acting on behalf of and for the account of the Republic of Slovenia and Nova KBM d.d., the second largest Slovenian bank in terms of assets, entered into a sale and purchase agreement with respect to the sale and purchase of 100% of the shares held by the Republic of Slovenia in Abanka, d. d. (Abanka).

The closing of the transaction was contingent on certain contractually defined conditions precedent, which were satisfied in the period following the execution of the purchase agreement. The total purchase price amounting to EUR 444,242,000 was paid by Nova KBM today and the 15,100,000 shares issued by Abanka were simultaneously transferred to Nova KBM, thus marking the successful completion of the sale of Abanka.
