OBVESTILA

Dear clients,

We recently informed you that Nova KBM and SKB banka are expected to merge on August 22, 2024. Cybercriminals have taken advantage of this opportunity and are sending fraudulent emails in the name of Nova KBM, urging you to click on a link to enter your personal information.

We emphasize that during the merger process, the bank will NOT send links to customers via e-mail or SMS messages that would allow the customer to switch from one bank to the merged bank.

The bank will also never ask you for your banking credentials – this is a clear sign that it is a scam.

Nova KBM or any other bank (SKB banka or the future OTP banka) will never ask you to enter sensitive information, such as login credentials and card details, into online links sent via email. We also will not require you to reactivate your device. Such messages are typically fraudulent, so we advise extra caution when conducting online or mobile transactions.

How to act if you receive a suspicious message:
  • Report suspicious messages to Info@nkbm.si and delete them.
  • Do not click on any included links to apparent online or mobile banking app, and
  • Do not enter any personal or other sensitive data
  • Always only confirm online payments prepared by you.
If you are unsure whether a message is genuine, rather contact us at Info@nkbm.si or call 080 17 70.

If you have already clicked the link:
  • and entered your Bank@Net login details, we advise you to change your Bank@Net password as a precaution.
  • and entered your bank card details, we advise you to block your card as a precaution.
For more information on how to recognize phishing and other cyber fraud, please visit our website at Varnost spletnega poslovanja | NKBM.

Thank you for your vigilance.
